Got a picky cat? We accept bags that are already opened too!

Donations can be dropped off in our bins at the following locations:

  • Sobey’s
  • Colemans (The Gardens and Caribou Road
  • Dominion
  • Western Pet Supply
  • SPCA on Connors Rd during regular hours.

Shelter temporarily closed

Please be advised that the shelter will be closed to the public until further notice in order to prevent an outbreak of an upper respiratory virus in the cats.

Individuals that need to drop off an application or payment may come in to do so, however visiting animals will not be permitted. All of our available pets can be viewed on our adoption page or in our Facebook albums “cats for adoption” or “dogs for adoption”

2nd Annual Dog Show & More Show

In conjunction with Immaculate Heart of Mary School, we proudly present the 2nd ANNUAL DOG SHOW & MORE SHOW! Featuring Beauty, the Shetland Pony! Bring your furry, scaly, or feathery friends and join us on May 7th!


Please consider signing the attached online petition to support the updating of the animal protection act. Canada’s animal protection legislation has not been substantively revised since 1892 and Canada is ranked below some third-world countries when it comes to its animal protection legislation.

CNA Civil III fundraiser


Super Pet Adoption Event a Success!

On Saturday, February 25, NL West SPCA, Sunshine Rescue, and Friends of Rory hosted the Super Pet Adoption Event at the Corner Brook Civic Centre. The event was very well received with over 250 visitors! thank you to everyone who came to visit us and a very special thank you to everyone who volunteered to help make this day possible.


Tiger was a special attendee. She requires surgery to remove a tumour from her mammary gland. The surgery is estimated to cost $500. We raised $253 to go towards her surgery. Not to mention, she has an adoption pending!


Wilma and Ada both have pending adoptions!



The Corner Brook Minor Hockey Peewee B team stopped in to present us with donations their team collected for us! Thank you so much!

We had lots of baked goods donated by our friends for a bake sale! We raised $333 which will go towards medical care for our animals. Thank you to Clay & Cupcake for the donation of 2 dozen cupcakes, Emily Pittman with Duke of Edinburgh for making dog treats to sell, and Kim Morris, Sam Froud, Marian Ezekiel, Theresa Hynes, Ivy Sparkes, and Darlene McCurdy for Baking!


Andrew Peddle of Western Pet Supply provided us with a $25 gift card as a door prize. Thanks Andrew!

We had lots of visitors come by to show their support. The CB Winter Carnival Ambassadors and Liefling stopped in, as well as Comet and his family. Comet was adopted from our shelter and comes to all of our events. Thanks for your support!
